Who
While each situation is somewhat different and addressed individually, we serve those adult men and women: who are unbaptized, who were baptized in another Christian denomination, or who were baptized Catholic but not raised in the Catholic Tradition.
What
RCIA… Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a “process” that enables you to experience the Catholic faith community. We provide an opportunity for questions to be answered and for learning about the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church.
When
Most Wednesday evenings, from 7 to 8:30 PM, September 21, 2011 thru April 11, 2012.
Where
St. Philip the Apostle Church in the “multi-purpose room”.
Why
Catholics believe conversion to Jesus Christ is a lifelong, on-going “process”. We believe that life is an on-going journey, that is full of opportunities and challenges. We believe that our Catholic faith enables us “to make sense of life’s nonsense”. Thus, in “becoming” a practicing Catholic, we develop a Catholic lifestyle and we become empowered to live our Catholic faith and serve ourselves and one another, day after day.
How Many
All non-Catholic adults who desire to learn more about the Catholic faith so as to become practicing Catholics, who as, fully participating members of the Catholic Church… are strong enough to provide one’s self and others with meaningful reasons for life and hope !
If you think God may be calling you to take this special faith journey (or you know of another), the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the “process” by which you can answer God’s invitation.
