Cantors

Cantors are the people who lead the singing at Mass. They are particularly noticed at the Responsorial Psalm where they sing the Response and then lead the parishioners in singing the response. Their job is to keep the singing at the correct tempo and in the correct key. The Cantors report to the Director of Music and must attend rehearsals as well as the Masses to which they are assigned.
