Adult Choir

St. Philip’s is blessed with a very dedicated group of people who form the choir, and over the years they have developed into a fine musical organization. Our own parishioners and visitors to St. Philip’s frequently comment about the quality of the choir and the dimension it adds to worship. If we are to maintain this reputation, we are in need of new voices. If you like to sing PLEASE join us. The ability to read music IS NOT necessary. High School students and adults of all ages are invited to participate. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30. The choir sings at the 10:00 Mass about 3 times a month.

Additionally, the choir family prays together, sharing their joys and concerns. Keeping members’ needs in prayer contributes to the oneness of the group. Members of the choir also enjoy friendship and fellowship at several parties throughout the year. They provide meals to members when need arises, and a meal to the Homeless at St. Mary’s each September. During the Lenten season the choir members cook and serve one of the Parish’s Friday Lenten meals.

We welcome anyone with a desire to serve God and the parish through the music ministry. As St. Augustine said, “He who sings prays twice.” If you are interested in this Spirit filled and musically talented organization, contact Mary Kreider at 285-3296
