The Mercy Committee performs Corporal Works of Mercy by providing a funeral luncheons for the families and freinds of deceased members of the parish.
They coordinate the menu, prepare the food, set the tables and lovingly serve their guests with great respect. Cecelia Shaeffer has been heading up the committee for many years and has the planning and preparation down to a science. With support from her members they mobilize their efforts and with a few phone calls for baked goods needed for dessert, they provide the meal for the grieving families.
