Welcoming Committee

St. Philip’s Welcoming Committee was organized to greet new parishioners into the flock. After calling the family and setting up an appointment time, they go to the home and personally welcome the new members. They share with them information about the parish life, the various organizations and their functions, the schedules and contact people, as well as any important up coming events. This committee adds the personal touch and gives a friendly face for the new members to contact as they are getting acclimated to their new environment. If you have ever been the new kid on the block, you know how valuable this ministry is. When one becomes homesick for the place they left, its nice to know someone in their new world does care.
