Christine Miller joined the staff of St. Philip’s in July of 1999. She has an M. A. in Holistic Spirituality and a B. A. in English, both from Chestnut Hill College. She worked within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Diocese of Harrisburg, teaching at both the elementary and junior high levels. She served as both DRE and Youth Minister in various parishes and also taught religion classes at Lancaster Catholic High School.
At St. Philip’s, Christine coordinates the Religious Education program, its teachers and schedules. In addition, she oversees the children and youth preparing for the sacraments of Penance, Eucharist and Confirmation. She heads up St. Philip’s Youth Ministry, coordinates the volunteers and schedules, and oversees fund raising events. She encourages parish youth to be involved in Catholic Heart Work Camp, and she’s heading up this year’s trip to World Youth Day in Spain. She enjoys designing and implementing the Vacation Bible School program every summer and also prepares annual Advent and Lenten retreats for adult parishioners. In her free time, Christine also enjoys being home with her two dogs, Sophie and Solomon, and three cats, Maggie, Stevie, and Oliver. Her energy and enthusiasm for the work she does keep her young at heart!
