Karl Meck heads up the Maintenance staff here at St. Philips. He signed on in September of 2010.
He graduated from the US Naval Academy with a B. S. in Mechanical Engineering and has his own home improvement business, Henne, Achey, Meck & Meck. He retired from Exelon, where he was a Senior Engineer at the Power Station. Karl and his wife Thelma are raising 3 children, Jemalyn, Gabriel, and Thomas, and are active in the parish. He leads den activities for the Cub Scouts,active in Boy Scouts, has taught Adult Catechism, and serves as a Lector.
Karl’s job is to oversee the maintenance staff and the daily maintenance of the buildings, grounds, and all equipment. More specifically; he keeps the buildings cleaned and repaired, sets up for meetings, maintains the lawn and makes sure the walkways are safe in the winter, among many other chores. If something is in need of repair, or cleaning, or a meeting room needs set up, Karl is the man to talk to! His unswerving willingness to serve in any capacity makes him a true blessing to our Parish.
