Susan Havey, our Parish Manager, graduated from Drexel University with a B.S. in Business Administration and has completed graduate course work at St. Joe’s in Philadelphia. Susan has served as the Director of Operations for Urban Ventures Group, Inc. and was the Business manager for OMG Center, Inc., a nonprofit consulting firm located in Center City Philadelphia. She also worked as the Business Manager for the Penn Laurel Girl Scout Council in York. With over 20 years business management experience, she is adept at developing and overseeing all office systems, facilities and equipment, setting up and maintaining the parish’s financial systems and records, and coordinating the parish’s communication systems, including web pages and internet access. Susan provides executive support to the pastor and is a critical point of contact between the Diocese of Harrisburg, the Finance Committee, sub-contractors and vendors. Mrs. Havey has extensive experience and knowledge in the start up, growth and maintenance of various office systems and supporting structures. She manages budgeting, personnel and human resource benefits administration as well as oversees the office operations.
Mrs. Havey is active in her home parish of Our Lady of Consolation, Parkesburg where she serves as a Eucharistic Minister, has taught CCD, and has been the Prayer Group leader for many years. She also serves the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, CCR Office as a service team member and is their treasurer.
Together with her husband George, they have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Her passion is the time spent with her grandchildren who keep her laughing and fill her with joy!
